Undergraduate Opportunities in 2D COF Synthesis

The Evans Research Group is looking for an undergraduate research student interested in chemistry and materials science. Students will learn synthetic strategies in developing single-crystal nanoporous materials for investigating material properties such as thermal transport and electronic conductivity. Responsibilities include single-crystal synthesis, purification, and basic characterization (FT-IR, optical microscopy, etc.) Students are expected to commit 5-8 hours a week in the laboratory. The position is ideal for students who are interested in a short-term research experience (6 months to 1 year) to gain insight to work in a research laboratory. The research experience can be extended based on agreement between the student, mentor, and principal investigator.
